In 2024, with the Paris OQS qualification almost concluded, Breaking For Gold South Africa turns its attention to the qualification process and preparation for the Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar, Senegal. The first step in this process is the WDSF World Youth Breaking Championships which will take place in China on 28-29 September 2024.

The Federation of Dance Sport South Africa in partnership with the Streetdance Association of South Africa are partnering to host regional qualifiers across South Africa and a National Finals to select the team that is eligible to compete and represent South Africa at the WDSF World Youth Breaking Championships in 2025.

Entry fees include annual registration as well as participation fees at the regional qualifier and the Western Cape finals.

Athletes attending the Youth Olympic Games are restricted to turning a minimum age of 15 and maximum age of 18 in the year of the Games (2026) = those born in 2008- 2011. Presentation of your ID book/ card to confirm your age at entry to the SA Qualifier events is mandatory.
